Equipment Rentals Overview
There are many benefits to being a paid member of the GCBA. Besides the excellent educational offerings, fellowship, and mentoring, there are now opportunities to rental beekeeping equipment that many backyard beekeepers could otherwise not afford to own. Let’s face it, ours can be an expense hobby, and we are here to help. If interested, complete the application and sign, note whether a deposit is required, and return to the club secretary, Cynthia Olsen.
Extractor Kit Rental
Includes a 3-frame Mann Lake stainless steel, hand cranked honey frame extractor, one stainless steel extractor stand, two stainless steel sieves, two cold decapping knives, one electric hot knife, and one food grade honey bucket with a gate.
A $100.00 deposit is required which will be returned when the equipment is returned clean and in working order. The rental fee is $5.00 per day of rental which will be subtracted from the deposit.
Framing Jigs Rental
Includes two wooden framing jigs (one a ten frame, the other smaller) with instruction booklet. There is no deposit required. Rental fee is $5.00 per week.
Solar Wax Melter Rental
Includes one passive solar wax melter with instruction booklet. There is no deposit required. Rental fee is $5.00 per week.
